Conflicts of Interest
Upholding objectivity and integrity in research evaluation.
To maintain the highest level of integrity and objectivity in scientific publishing, the International Journal of Ayurvedic & Herbal Medicine (IJAHM) requires all authors, reviewers, and editors to declare any potential conflicts of interest.
Author Declarations
A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest (such as research integrity) may be influenced by a secondary interest (such as financial gain).
Authors must disclose:
- Financial Interests: Funding, grants, employment, consultancies, or stock ownership.
- Personal Relationships: Close relationships with individuals or organizations that might benefit from the findings.
- Academic Competition: Professional rivalries or competing research agendas.
If no conflict exists, authors should state: *"The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest related to this work."*
Reviewer & Editor Responsibilities
- Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if they have a professional or personal connection with the authors that might bias their evaluation.
- Editors will excuse themselves from handling a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest and will delegate the decision to another member of the board.
Failure to disclose a conflict of interest may result in the rejection of the manuscript or a post-publication correction.
