Withdrawal Policy
Guidelines for manuscript withdrawal at different stages of the workflow.
The International Journal of Ayurvedic & Herbal Medicine (IJAHM) recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw their manuscript after submission. However, withdrawal after substantial editorial work has been performed is discouraged.
Pre-Review Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before the peer-review process begins without penalty. A formal request must be sent to the editor via email.
During Review Withdrawal
If a manuscript is withdrawn after it has been sent for peer review:
- The author must provide a valid reason for withdrawal.
- Withdrawal at this stage wastes the valuable time of scholarly reviewers.
- Repeated withdrawals without justification may impact future submissions by the same author.
Post-Acceptance Withdrawal
Withdrawal is not permitted after a manuscript has been accepted for publication or has entered the production phase, as significant institutional resources have been invested in the article.
How to Withdraw
To withdraw a manuscript, the corresponding author must send a signed letter to editor@interscience.org.uk stating the reasons for withdrawal. The withdrawal is only official once confirmed by the Editorial Office.
