Infertility is defined as inability to conceive even after one year, under normal marital conditions without contraception. The rate of infertility is increasing day by day with equal distribution of both male and female factors leading to unhappiness and psychosomatic illness. Besides genetic factors, changed life style, increased stress and strain and environmental pollution are identified as factors contributing to the rising rate of infertility. In the present article the problem of female infertility w.s.r to tubal block (tubal factor) has been taken for conceptual study. In Ayurveda, infertility is termed as Vandhyatwam. Vata is the predominant dosha involved in it as mentioned in our classics. According to Sushruta, tubal block can be considered as the deformity of Kshetra i.e. the female reproductive system. Very few works have been done on tubal infertility. The present article is a conceptual study on the effect of yogavasti and uttaravasti in tubal block. Erandamooladi kashayam is used for kashaya vasti and Mahanarayana tailam for matravasti and uttaravasti. Eranda comes under bhedaneeya, adhobhagahara, vatasamsamana gana, is vrushyam and contains teekshna and sukshma gunas which are very much essential for removing blocks. Mahanarayana tailam has been selected for both matravasti and uttaravasti. Most of the drugs in Mahanarayana tailam are laghu, ushna and teekshna in guna. These gunas also may be useful in bringing vata to normalcy and removing the block.

Use of metallic preparations in healthcare is a unique feature Ayurveda. Rasashastra deals with the processing of metals including Mercury, Gold, Silver, Lead, Zinc, Copper etc. in such a way that they can be safely administered and found to be therapeutically effective. Parada i.e. mercury is most important among them and it is in different disease conditions with great authority. Bhasma is one of the forms in which Parada is administered internally which is claimed to be therapeutically highly effective. But being a metal of high sensitivity to heat, preparation of ParadaBhasma is found to be extremely difficult and only a few such attempts are proved to be successful. Here, an attempt was made to prepare Rasa Bhasma by following the reference of BharataBhaishajyaRatnakara with due importance to Standard Operative Procedure. Three batches were prepared to standardize the process. Prepared Bhasma was tested following organoleptic, classical bhasmapareeksha and physico-chemical parameters. Advanced instrumental methods like SEM-EDAX, XRD, DLS and ICP-OES etc were followed to develop analytical standards.

We have earlier established that S.I.V.A herbal drops boost the immunity by increasing the phagocytic ability of macrophages. However this benefit warrants better proof for making effective communication and subsequent conversion of clinician’s faith to S.I.V. A herbal drops. For the above purpose we have defined a novel method wherein we blend immune elicitation benefit of (photosensitivity) of sun the UV irradiation will trigger Langerhans cells and the release of several inflammatory mediators leading to a cascade effect called erythema. The immune suppressive agents like steroid would suppress such reactions of the skin if applied and then exposed to sun. We have studied how S.I.V.A herbal drops attenuate the immune suppressive effect of steroids and elevate the inflammatory response when applied and expose to sun. The findings reveal that S.I.V.A herbal drops effectively nullified the effect of steroid and elicited inflammatory reaction proving the fact that S.I.V.A herbal drops is indeed immune booster. Findings are discussed in the article.

Samshodhana and Samshamana are the two types of treatment advised for the patient with vitiated Dosha, Dhatu, Agni or Mala, out of which Samshodhana is advisable to treat a patient for permanent cure. But after the Samshodhana Karma, Agni get disturbed and patient is likely to be weakened; therefore regular normal diet is not advisable. After the administration of Vamana Karma or Virechana Karma, a special diet regimen is to be followed called as Samsarjana Krama which means a proper sequence of Peya- Vilepi- Kritakrita Yusha- Kritakrita Mansarasa. It is used to increase the Agni and to provide sequential nourishment to the patient i.e. from light diet to normal diet. The importance of Samsarjana Krama is to increase the strength of weakened Agni and body after Samshodhana Karma.

Health is multifactorial, the factors which influence health lies both within the individual and externally in the society in which he or she gives it is a truism to say that what man is and to what diseases he may fall victim depends on a combination of two sets of factors – his genetic factors and the environmental factors to which he is exposed. The health of an individual’s residing place is always influenced by the environmental changes. Widespread manifestation of diseases occurs due to lack of environmental hygiene.in Ayurveda there is description of both internal and external environment, external environment like Jala, Vayu, Bhumi and Kala has been explained in relation to health and disease. In this article a systematic review has been done regarding Janapadodwhamsa and its prevention and treatment, Air pollution causes and its prevention, soil description and kala (time factor). The purification methods mentioned in Ayurveda for water, air and soil are may be crude and useful in domestic level in rural area still they have scientific basis , these can bepropagated through mass media to reach even in urban area.

Ayurveda is not only an ancient science of life but a spiritual science too. The main aim of Ayurved is to attain Mokshai.e liberation. It not only deals with SharirikaVyadhis but ManoVyadhis also called Mano-Vikaras. The Mind directly connected with the both Jnanendriya and Karmendriya. The internal organ of perception and cognition or the instrument by which sense objects affects the soul is called as Mana. When the mind is linked with Indiyas leads to feelings of Sukha, Dukha etc. e.g when theSparshanendriya contacts with Agni leads to formation blisters, but the feeling of heat is achieved by Mana. As per classics Mana is of three types viz; Satva, Raja, and Tama. These are also called Gunas. Among them the Satva is the Guna whereas raja and tama are its doshas. Mind is directly interlinked with VataDosha and vice-versa which leads to miss-interaction with the Indriyas. And produces various Mano-Vikarase.gMada, Murcha, Sanyasa, Apasmara, Unmada, Atatvabhinivesha. The present study reveals the NidanPanchaka of Atatvabhinivesha and its literary review according to various ancient Ayurvedic texts. The further scope of the study is to treat the patient according to Ayurvedic principles such as SatvavajayaChikitsa etc.
